Kathleen S. Brown, Ph.D.

Kathleen Sullivan Brown, Ph.D., is Chair and Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in the College of Education at the University of Missouri St. Louis. Dr. Brown earned a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences of Washington University in 1995. She has also served as a Fellow of the University’s Public Policy Research Center and Center for International Studies. At UM St. Louis, she teaches graduate level foundations courses in the social, economic and political contexts of education. Dr. Erin McClure Fastzkie is an Assistant Professor of School Psychology in the College of Education's Department of Education Sciences and Professional Programs. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and a licensed psychologist in Missouri. Dr. Fastzkie completed her Ph.D. in school psychology from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and her internship at the Louisiana School Psychology Internship Consortium (LAS-PIC) in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Rogers is an educational researcher who specializes in literacy studies, teacher learning and critical discourse studies. Her research focuses on the socio-political contexts of literacy and language education and situates critical discourse analysis within an ethnographic tradition.
