• James made motion to approve February 2020 minutes
  • Phillip seconded

Addendum from February 2020:

• EDUC 7710 course was unanimously approved by the committee electronically

Review of course and program proposals:

• No Courses to approve

Review of course and program proposals:

• EDUC-EDD: Doctor of Education, Educational Practice; program change request to include robust research methods courses
  • James motioned to untable this doctoral program and the committee will approve electronically once Mike gets an updated format to send out
    • Nikki seconded
      • Approved unanimously
  • Note: The CPQC unanimously approved the revisions to the Doctor of Education, Educational Practice on April 4, 2020.

Updates on Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP):

• There is substantial interest for multiple programs in the College of Education to be accredited 
• Executive Director will be here March 12th for a visit
• There has been a committee formed specifically for AAQEP

Updates from the Office of Educator Effectiveness and Accreditation:

• Getting ready to submit self-study / quality assurance report
• Getting prepared for AAQEP Meeting within next two weeks
• Brian has set up the skeleton format for the self-study and the office will be doing internal self-audit
• Program meeting for Teacher Education on March 12 3-4:30pm and looking at 8 program setups

Reports from the CPQC Subcommittees: 

• Doctoral Dissertation and Travel Grant Selection Subcommittee:
  • Looking over dissertation and travel grant  applications that were submitted
• Education Certification Subcommittee:
  • No update because there was no meeting for this month
• Doctoral Program Subcommittee:
  • If there is any updates will be sent via email

Announcements 

• Next meeting will be Wednesday, April 1 in the Boeing Room from 1-3pm.
• CPQC Meeting Highlight: The March meeting ended in a record time at 1:25pm!
