Updates from the Office of Educator Effectiveness and Accreditation (Melanie):
- Continuously working with CAEP on Accreditation.
Reports from the CPQC Subcommittees:
- Doctoral Dissertation and Travel Grant Selection Subcommittee:
- Approved $450 for 14 students who had receipts and / or plane tickets that showed they were presenting at a conference and had expenses for their dissertation work. Students that were not selected this semester were told that they could apply again next semester.
- Students who meet criteria will also be able to apply for the Henche Scholarship which is awarded every Spring.
- John still wants to earmark $1,000 for an Dissertation Award where candidates are nominated by faculty and student will be awarded at the Research Symposium and get to present their research.
- John will talk with Shawn about adding this to her committee
- Doctoral Program Subcommittee:
- No update, next meeting is not until early 2019.
- Education Certification Subcommittee:
- Program updates continuing which is program alignment and advising forms
Review of course / program proposals:
- HLTH PE 3432 : Teaching Health and Physical Education in Elementary Schools – Minor
- EDUC - HLTH PE 3432 and prerequisites no longer admitted to teacher education requirement

Other Items
- James motioned to discuss if any new Ed.D Cohorts for Fall 2019
- There will be a Heritage Leadership Cohort as long as there are 20 students
- Shenyang Normal University partnership and Ed.D Cohort will come to UMSL Fall 2019 currently there are 15 students with the possibility of 3 new students starting.
- It was decided that there must be 20 students per cohort to be viable.
- Shawn will send a email out to faculty alerting them that they can submit the required paperwork to have their own doctoral cohort.
- Mike will send application for faculty to apply to have their own Ed.D Cohort to Shawn.
- How to help Ed.D students in Cohorts will be added to Shawn's COmmittee group and agenda for their next meeting.
- Next meeting will be Wednesday, February 6, in the Boeing Room from 1-3pm.
