UMSL Charter Schools

The University of Missouri – St. Louis sponsors 7 charter local educational agencies (LEAs) consisting of six elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school and one K-8 school, serving students residing in St. Louis, Missouri.

A charter school is an independent public school  that operates under a contract, referred to as the "charter," with a public entity such as a state university or the state department of education.
