Cultivate Your Leadership

Leadership takes on many forms in education. Teachers must be leaders in the classroom, school and community. They lead by example in the way they act, speak and behave. They lead their students through challenging activities and rigorous learning. Then, they take on additional teacher leadership roles inside and outside the classroom for activities, events and extracurricular programs which build positive school culture. The K-12 Teacher Leader Program helps teachers cultivate leadership skills to prepare for current and future opportunities.

The Graduate Certificate in K-12 Teacher Leader is a 15-credit-hour program available in both an online and hybrid format that can be completed in as little as 12 months. It is designed to develop leadership skills in teachers who fill the many leadership roles within schools and districts and allows you to garner skills to develop or enhance instructional coaching. You may apply earned credit hours from this program toward a master’s degree in K-12 Administration and/or Curriculum and Instruction.
