Matthew D. Davis, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Foundations in the Department of Educational Services and Professional Programs at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Dr. Davis earned an interdisciplinary Ph.D., (curriculum & instruction, educational administration, history, and public affairs) at The University of Texas at Austin in 2000. His principal teaching and research focuses on education for emancipation and liberation. Laura M. Westhoff, Ph.D., Ph.D.
A native St. Louisan, Dr. Westhoff, joined the University of Missouri-St. Louis faculty in 1999 and is jointly appointed in the History Department and the Division of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education. She has served as co-author and lead historian on several Teaching American History grants. She is on the editorial board for the Women and Social Movements website and the Magazine of History published by the Organization of American Historians and is a frequent presenter at history workshops and colloquia for teachers.
