Charles R. Granger, Ph.D., Ph.D.
Professor of Biology and Education

Professor Granger earned a B.S. in botany and zoology from Iowa State University, an M.S. in Biology and an M.S. in science education, both from the University of Pennsylvania, and Ph.D. in plant physiology and science education from the University of Iowa. He is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Biology Association for Teachers, the National Science Supervisors Association, and the National Association for Research in Science Education. Professor Granger has received numerous teaching awards, including the University of Missouri system Presidential Award for Outstanding Teaching and is Secretary of The Academy of Science of St. Louis.

M. Lee Nelson, Ph.D., Ph.D.
Teaching Professor

Lee Nelson is coordinator of School Counseling in the Counselor Education program. She teaches both school counseling and counselor education and supervision courses at UMSL and is conducting research on social class identity.  She completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Oregon in 1989.  Lee served as a counselor educator on the educational psychology faculty of the University of Washington from 1990-2002 and is a retired professor of counseling psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she served from 2002-2010 (chair, 2006-2008).  Lee's research has emphasized counselor training and supervision, gender issues in counseling, adolescent body image, and t...

Associate Professor

Kim H. Song, Associate Professor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, received her Ed.D in Instructional Processes from Southern Illinois University –Edwardsville in 1991. Kim is a bilingual in Korean and English, and  her main research interests include:
