Whether your begin your UMSL studies as a freshman or a transfer student, our College of Education plans are carefully designed to help students meet all Missouri teacher education requirements. However, course offerings change and every student has unique needs, so our plans are also individualized. The following sample plans can give you a general idea of what your education will look like; however, in order to get a full picture of what your personal path to a degree, you must work with an advisor at UMSL. Bachelor of Science in Education (BSEd) Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education
The BSEd is the undergraduate pathway to Missouri Teacher Certification.
Bachelor of Educational Studies (BES) with an emphasis in Youth and Adult Development
The BES is an undergraduate degree designed for educators who are interested in work outside a traditional classroom.
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sport Management
This BS is for undergraduate students who are interested in working in the field of athletics and recreational/sports programs at all levels.
