As a career educator, Ellen Duncan has served as a high school and middle school administrator, high school and middle school teacher of social studies, adjunct faculty at UMSL and mentor of new teachers. She understands the demands of the classroom teacher and the instructional skill development that is vital in the Teacher Education Program, as well as the skill sets required for informal educators out of the formal classroom setting. Dr. Duncan obtained her Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from St. Louis University, her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, and her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (Honors Scholar) from the University of Missouri.
