Director University Counseling Training Center

The Division of Counseling & Family Therapy at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis seeks applications for a Director of their Counseling Training Center. This is a nine-month faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor beginning August 15, 2008. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in counselor education, counseling psychology, or a closely related field from a regionally-accredited university (ABD will be given consideration). Desired qualifications include: entrepreneurial skills; proven potential for securing grants/funding; the ability to administer a counseling training center; the ability to teach a broad spectrum of graduate courses; the ability to provide strong practica and internship supervision; and commitment to cultural diversity and social justice. Teaching, counseling, and clinical supervising experience, along with holding a current license in one of three mental health professions in Missouri (professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist) are also desired. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Division of Counseling & Family Therapy offers doctoral degrees in counselor education and CACREP-accredited master’s degrees in school, community, and career counseling.
